News from CSUF’s The Daily Titan

Wednesday, September 29th, 2010

Cal State University Fullerton’s media “The Daily Titan” did a piece on the sports panel held for the students. Here is a section from the write up.

“But 20-year-old freestyle motocross rider Lance Coury never went to college. He had a different story. “A lot of the panelists up there have great jobs and are successful. I’m here to let you know you don’t have to be in your 30s or 40s to be in your career. But I’m not telling you that you don’t have to work hard. Hard work is a must in any industry,” Coury said.”

Sports Panel at Cal State University Fullerton

Thursday, September 23rd, 2010

Yesterday I was asked to be on a Sports Panel at Cal State University Fullerton to talk to the students about getting into the sports industry . Was a very cool experience to let others know what it takes to work towards your career.

“The panel consisted of the

Clippers Accounting Executive – Amy Grigis

Director from Make a Wish Foundation – Ken Whelan

Los Angeles Times Sports editor – Mike James and Christopher Dufresne

Director from Velocity Sports Performance – Justin Davis

Director from CSUF Sports Dep. – Steve Ditolla

President of US Judo Association – Gary Goltz

And myself as a professional in the sports industry. “

Keeping it real,

On course at ASA World Championships

Tuesday, September 7th, 2010

This past weekend the ASA World Championship was held in Pomona CA, I was down there doing “On Course” commentary with the riders after there runs.

I had a hard time not being able to get out there and run with the boys. But enjoyed being able to be involved.

Getting Mase's thoughts right after his winning run!

Until next time,

Lance
