I just got back from the San Diego Hall of Champions where I was inducted into the Hall along with Nate Adams and Brian Deegan. We talked about what the AFMXA is all about, the organization for the sport of FMX as well as the safety.  The FMX corner at the Hall of Champions includes a showcase for Jeremy Lusk, Brian Deegan, Nate Adams, and Myself. Check out the pictures from the luncheon.

I just got back home (LA) from New Zealand. I had a very fun eventful time with all the boys, Nick Franklin, Matty McFerran, Ryan “maddog” Laskey , and our supervisor Louis Vuleta. It was a 3 day event full of fuel, V8 Supercars, Drift cars, Dragsters, and of course Freestyle motocross. We threw down in front of upwards to 100,000 people throughout the weekend with awesome energy. Here are a couple shots from the weekend.

I am on my second night in New Zealand. First day we got here, kept it mellow, Red Bull showed us around town in a true Army style Hummer. Second day we had to get the bikes set up and have a little practice. Bike went together well, and the ramp set up was real good. Of course hanging with Red Bull we ended off the second night in style at a premier party for there new series in New Zealand, call The Red Bull Chronicles. Tomorrow starts off the event filled weekend. But check out these couple pics I snagged off my phone… Enjoy.

On April 21^st the AFMXA will unveil the opening of their new FMX exhibit at the San Diego Hall of Champions and announce their partnership with Pala raceway to open the first west coast Freestyle training center.

Irvine, CA - April 12, 2010 – There are lots of exciting things happening in the world of Freestyle Motocross in 2010, including the opening of a first ever museum exhibit and first class training center.  The AFMXA’s new exhibit opening up at the San Diego Hall of Champions features some of the top athletes in the sport of Freestyle Motocross and all of its members. The exhibit includes all things freestyle with highlights on members, Nate Adams, Brian Deegan and new comer Lance Coury.

When asked about the AFMXA and his feature in the museum Nate Adams said “To be inducted is actually a really big deal for me. I was definitely surprised when I got the call. I’ve really made it my life’s work to be a professional motocross rider, so to be recognized for my efforts feels really good. I know that my friend Jeremy Lusk, rest in peace brutha, has an exhibit in the Hall of Champs as well. so to have something like this with Jeremy is a big deal for me.”.

And Lance Coury the sports up and coming Pro AM  said “ The AFMXA is what the sport of Freestyle Motocross needs. I haven’t been in the sport half as long as some of these great riders but I have noticed as I got more into Freestyle Motocross that there needs to be more of a organization that can rank riders in classes, have events for the up incomers, and help keep building this sport we all love and enjoy.”

There is a young boy named Brayden Murphy who has been a true fan of mine since the day he saw me ride at an IFMA up North. After getting to know him, I learned he has something he has to deal with on a daily basis called Cystic Fibrosis. I have stayed in contact with Brayden, letting him know my schedule and when I would be in the area.

Brayden is going in for another surgery April 19-24. Oneal and myself put together this set of gear for him to keep those smiles coming!
